Product Overview
The Lacquer and Paint Testing Machine, Model 200, is a bench-mounted unit designed for the ERICHSEN CUPPING TEST. It is compliant with standards such as DIN ISO 1520, ISO 1520, BS 3900: Part E4, NF T 30-019, and SIS 18 41 77. The machine is used to test coated sheet metal with a tensile strength of 400 N/mm², up to 1.25 mm thick, and 70 - 90 mm wide. The test measures the quality of paint or coating by determining the depth at which the coating cracks or peels off.

Testing Procedure
The specimen is placed in the test head with the coated side up and clamped by turning the blank holder. The drawing process is initiated by pulling the clutch pin and turning the test head. The test concludes when the coating fails, and the depth is read from a digital counter. Crack formation can be observed throughout the process, and a special microscope is recommended for precise observation.
