THE "MERINGAGE" / FURNACE FOR FIRE RESISTANCE TESTING: The "Meringage" device is a Furnace with an ISO 5660 conical resistance. This appliance is mainly used to heat PVC pipes and fittings used in drainage and sanitary systems to measure their rate of expansion due to heat. This measure is intended to check whether these PVC products comply with the new application "NF Fire Safety". The qualification tests with this device make it possible to obtain the NF Me certification and to affix the new "NF Me" marking on PVC pipe having an expansion rate of more than 800%.
