Overview
This document provides technical specifications for the Mecapress, a laboratory equipment designed for pressing and drying handsheet paper. It is intended to be used alongside the Dynamic Handsheet Former for mechanical and print testing.

Principle
The Mecapress combines pressing and drying functions on a single skid. It features two rubber-covered rolls, each 400mm in length, rotating at 15 revolutions per minute. The press is powered by a single-phase induction motor of 200 W, operating at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz. It can handle handsheets up to 250mm wide and 1000mm long, with a grammage of up to 350 g/m², and is capable of pressing and drying multi-layered handsheets.
