The alignment and correct positioning of the spindle gear must be done very carefully as no side forces should act on spindle and guide rings. In lifting systems the spindle noses (in case of the basic type) or the traveling nuts (in case of the traveling nut type) must lie level with each other before the worms of the spindle gears are connected.
