Overview
The ULTRA-HERM® (High Energy Rope Mount) is an advanced isolation mount that combines a traditional Enidine helical wire rope isolator with an elastomer-based compound. This design enhances stiffness and energy absorption, making it a fail-safe solution for various applications. It is particularly effective in reducing shock and vibration in environments such as shipboard equipment, transport vehicles, and military gear.

Applications
Typical applications include shipboard shock and vibration control, isolation for pumps, generators, and compressors, as well as protection for electronic cabinets and military equipment. The mount is also suitable for over-the-road transport and navigation equipment.

Customization and Performance
The ULTRA-HERM® can be customized by adjusting the wire rope diameter, loop number, and chemical properties of the overmold. It performs well in low natural frequency applications (12-16 Hz) and reduces output G's to below 15G's. Its sealed construction allows for easy NBC washdown, and it is compatible with standard wire rope isolators for seamless equipment upgrades.

Advantages
The mount features ultra-high damped elastomer for maximum shock attenuation, requiring less displacement than traditional isolators. It contains no organic materials, ensuring optimal performance across a wide temperature range (-100°F to 350°F) and meeting fire/smoke/toxicity standards for enclosed spaces.

The ULTRA-HERM® offers increased damping and stiffness compared to traditional solutions, with shock stiffness at 740 lbs/in and vibration stiffness at 1,200 lbs/in, depending on configuration.
