Description

The hydraulic anchor load cells are designed for monitoring loads in tiebacks, rock bolts, and cables. They are ring-shaped and made of stainless steel, with a cavity filled with de-aired oil for rigidity. The load is transferred to an analog pressure gauge for immediate pressure readings. An electric pressure transducer can be added for continuous monitoring. A stiff distribution plate ensures even load application.

  • Pressure Transducer: Piezoresistive sensor, 4-20 mA output or vibrating wire transducer, includes NTC temperature sensor, 8-32 V DC power supply, 200% F.S. tensile strength, +/- 0.5% F.S. repeatability, 150% F.S. admissible load, IP 68 protection, AISI 304 stainless steel, operating temperature -40 to 105 °C.

Installation Recommendations

Ensure flat and parallel load-bearing surfaces to avoid distortion. An abutment plate should be installed between the cell and wall surfaces, with specific dimensions to prevent load decrease due to system settlement.

swiss sensor technology Description Hydraulic anchor load cells are used to monitor loads in tiebacks, rock bolts and cables. The hydraulic anchor load cell is a special ringshaped in stainless steel. Two plates welded along their perimeter and separated inside by a cavity saturated under vacuum with deaired oil to guarantee maximum rigidity. The applied load is transferred by means of oil to an analog pressure gauge that allows to immediately see the pressure in that moment. swiss sensor technology Installation recommendations Anchor load cells have to be installed with partic- ular care to obtain load bearing surfaces flat and parallel to avoid any significant distortion under load. The specific design of these cells gives a very low sensitivity to the load eccentricity. Between the cell and wall surfaces it is usually installed an abutment plate. The plate shall be at least of the same thickness of the distribution plate (30 mm) with diameter at least 20 mm larger than the load cell.
