Pressure Intensifiers

Pressure Intensifiers

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document discusses Enerpac's PID-series oil-to-oil intensifiers, which are designed to increase low inlet oil pressure to high outlet pressure. These intensifiers are compact, self-contained, and include internal bypass valving for high output flow rates. They are adaptable to various operating pressure requirements due to a wide range of intensification ratios.
Specifications: The intensifiers feature a maximum pressure range of 65 to 700 bar and flow rates between 1.2 to 2.5 l/min. They require 10-micron filtration on all ports to ensure trouble-free operation. Models with a dump valve provide an economical means of relieving system pressure.
Operating Principle: The intensifier uses low-pressure machine hydraulics to power clamping cylinders. Oil supplied to the inlet port flows past check valves and the dump valve to the cylinder. As inlet pressure increases, the oscillating pump automatically increases outlet pressure. Maximum pressure is balanced by lowering pump frequency.
Product Selection: The document lists various models with different intensification ratios and flow rates, such as PID-322F, PID-402F, PID-502F, and PID-662F, each with specific inlet pressure ranges and output flows.
Installation and Usage: The intensifiers can be panel-mounted and are suitable for applications requiring high pressure on the advance side of a double-acting cylinder. For systems with pump oil flow higher than the intensifier's maximum inlet flow, an external check valve and flow control valve are recommended.
Important Considerations: Users should not exceed the maximum allowable inlet pressure. Applications above 350 bar require high-pressure fittings or models with BSPP ports. Contact Enerpac for further details.

Pallet Components Valves Power Sources f Linear Cylinders Work Supports f Swing clamps Collet-Lok® products High flow units intensify low inlet oil pressure to high outlet pressure • Internal bypass valving enables high output flow rates • Wide range of intensification ratios allows for adapting to various operating pressure requirements • Compact and self-contained design allows for ease of installation • Includes dump valve eliminating the need for an external pilot check valve • Select fit of all internal components provides long operating life. o PID-series When hydraulic pressure from an existing power source is limited, Enerpac oil-to-oil intensifiers serve to increase output pressure to satisfy the required application. (Q) Intensifier principle • When oil is supplied to the inlet (IN) port it flows freely past the check valves (CV) and the dump valve to the cylinder and advances it. • As the inlet pressure increases the oscillating pump (OP) automatically increases the outlet pressure by the chosen intensification. • Free flow from the cylinder to tank occurs when the directional control valve is switched to supply the R-port. • 10 micron filtration is required on all ports in the circuit to ensure trouble free operation. Filters and flow control included. • Once the maximum pressure is reached, the pump frequency lowers and balances at the maximum pressure. <3:Product selection Maximum Pressure Maximum pressure intensification input flow Maximum Model output flow number Inlet pressure range with l/min dump valve bar 178 ENERPAC. @ * Operating pressures above 350 bar require high pressure fittings or intensifier models with BSPP ports.
