Application description: The massflowmeter Promass is necessary for the flow and density measurement of yeast in the yeast cellar and the yeast propagation unit. The precise flow measurement of the yeast is of high importance for the process of the fermentation. The yeast is dosed in he wort line before the media is pumped into the fermentation tank. With the data of the flow and density, the fermentation process can be optimized and therefore increases the quality of the beer itself. The Promass is available in a wide range of diameters, from 12mm up to 100 mm. Using the link to the fieldbus Profibus PA , also the temperature can be measured.
