3. Wort cooler Meas. point 2: Pressure measurement wort Application description: The pressure transmitter Cerabar S measures the pressure of the wort in the wort cooling line. After the brewing process the wort has still a temperature of about 70°C. For a fermentation process the wort has to be cooled down to a temperature of about 5-10°C with the help of a wort cooler. The pressure measurement at the in- and outgoing wort line with Cerabar S is necessary for a optimized cooling control. Process conditions: Media: Wort Pressure: up to 6 bar Temperature: -2 ... 90°C Highlights: • Absolute safe measurement in condensate areas The Cerabar S uses a optimized measuring cell, which gives best security against condensation and humidity at the tank or the pipe. • Hygienic adaption of the pressure transmitter The Cerabar S can be adapted flush mounted at the tank or pipe with a variety of hygienic process connections. Therefore flush welding adapters from E+H , DRD-, APV- and Varivent are available. • Universal Sensor Additional to the actual measuring value the Cerabar is able to show further values, like the actual temperature in the tank or the pipe. With the link via a fieldbus Profibus PA and the Profiles 3.0, calculated values from the PLC kann be shown direct at the display of the Cerabar.
