Product catalog summary
Overview: The Isotron® accelerometer Model 44A is a cost-effective, general-purpose triaxial accelerometer designed for various applications. It is a compact 14 mm cube with a single threaded 1/4-28 4-pin connector and is hermetically sealed to prevent environmental contamination.
Specifications: The Model 44A features an annular shear ceramic crystal for stable output over time. It includes an internal hybrid circuit with TEDS in a two-wire IEPE system, transmitting low impedance voltage output through the same cable that supplies constant current power. The accelerometer is available in four sensitivities: 10 mV/g (44A13), 25 mV/g (44A14), 50 mV/g (44A15), and 100 mV/g (44A16). It complies with the EU's Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and EMC Directive 2004/108/EC, bearing the CE Mark.
Key Features: The accelerometer is lightweight (13 grams), has a wide frequency bandwidth, and is IEEE P1451.4 TEDS capable. It offers polarity inversion protection and isolated mounting studs.
Performance Specifications: The accelerometer's dynamic characteristics include a range of ±500 g to ±50 g, frequency response with a typical resonance frequency of 25 kHz, and amplitude response of ±5% for y, z-axis (1 to 5000 Hz) and x-axis (1 to 3000 Hz). It has a sensitivity deviation over temperature of 5 to 15% and transverse sensitivity of ≤5%.
Electrical Characteristics: The output polarity is positive when acceleration is directed into the base. The DC output bias voltage ranges from +11.4 to +13.0 Vdc at room temperature. The output impedance is less than 100 Ω, and the noise floor varies with frequency.
Environmental Characteristics: The operating temperature range is -67°F to +257°F (-55°C to +125°C). The unit is hermetically sealed, with a vibration limit of 1000 g and a shock limit of 5000 g pk.
Physical Characteristics: The accelerometer is made of titanium, with a 1/4-28 4-pin connector and threaded stud mounting. Recommended mounting stud torque varies by stud size.
Accessories: Optional accessories include various cable assemblies and mounting studs. Calibration data is supplied, and factory calibration services are available.

Isotron® accelerometer 4 PIN RECEPTACLE MATES WITH CABLE ASSEMBLIES Y-AXIS OUTPUT UNIT IDENTIFICATION STANDARD TOLERANCE INCHES [MILLIMETERS] • General purpose triaxial Isotron® accelerometer • Wide frequency bandwidth • Hermetically sealed • Small 14mm cube size • IEEE P1451.4 TEDS capable Model 44A is a cost effective general purpose triaxial Isotron accelerometer designed for use in a variety of applications. 44A is a 14 mm cube shaped Isotron accelerometer, featuring a single threaded V<i-28 4 pin connector. The unit is hermetically sealed against environmental contamination. Model 44A features an annular shear ceramic crystal which exhibits excellent output stability over time. The accelerometer incorporates an internal hybrid circuit with TEDS in a two-wire IEPE system which transmits its low impedance voltage output through the same cable that supplies the constant current power. Signal ground is connected to the outer case of the unit. Isolated mounting studs are available. Polarity inversion protection for the hybrid circuit is inherent in the circuit design. 44A is available in four sensitivities designated by a two digit suffix. The 44A13 has a sensitivity of 10 mV/g, the 44A14, 44A15 and 44A16 have sensitivities of 25 mV/g, 50 mV/g and 100 mV/g respectively. The customer may select the mounting stud size included standard with the unit. The available stud sizes are 10-32, 1/4-28, M5 and M6. The stud size is designated following a dash after the model This product is fully compliant to the European Union's Low Voltage Directive, 2006/95/EC and EMC Directive 2004/108/EC and is eligible to bear the CE Mark.
