10 11 TUROMAT PRESSURE GOVERNOR (3) 4-20 bar for electronic engine control module Operating Principle The pressure governor is designed to ensure constant water fl ow at the nozzle to keep fi refi ghters safer. Simply turn on the governor and adjust the desired pressure with the encoder. The control unit will maintain the desired water pressure and automatically adjust the engine’s RPM when is necessary - based on water consumption. When the water tank level is empty and receives the signal “empty” from the Tank Level Gauge, the engine RPM is returned to idle RPM to protect the pump. When the pressure governor is turned off , the control unit also returns the RPM to the idle RPM. The PRESET button is available to store one most-used pressure value in the memory or retrieve the stored pressure from the memory. The unit uses a 0-25bar temperature-compensated pressure transducer to obtain pressure information. The complete equipment consists of the: • main unit, • suitable pressure transducer PT25 (0...25bar), • 2-wire sensor cable with the connector plug (2m).
