Overview of Egger Varioseal® System

Standardized Components

Special Designs
Special designs are available for specific requirements, such as mechanical seals with integrated temperature control up to 350°C or high-pressure seals up to 100 bar.

Seal Types and Configurations
  • Gland Packing Rings: Known for robustness and simplicity, gland packing rings allow for scheduled maintenance and are still used in certain industries.
  • Single Mechanical Seal: Utilizes a simple face pair to seal the hydraulic part from the atmosphere. Leakage is a sign of proper operation but is less favored due to environmental regulations.
  • Double Mechanical Seal: Available in tandem and back-to-back arrangements, these seals provide enhanced safety against leakage, especially for aggressive media.
  • Cartridge Mechanical Seal: Pre-assembled and tested, these seals are easy to install and reduce assembly errors.

Hydrodynamic Shaft Seal Eurodyn®
The Eurodyn® seal collects fluid behind the impeller, creating a liquid ring that seals the pump to the atmosphere. It is ideal for continuous operation, offering long service life and reliability, especially for media with high solid concentration and viscosity.
