Weft sensor E2071

Weft sensor E2071

Product catalog summary
General Description: The E2070 weft break sensor operates on the piezoelectric principle, converting yarn movement into an electric signal. It features a logic current output and is available with 4 or 8 eyelets. A green LED indicates yarn movement, while a red LED signals machine stoppage due to excessive weft insertions.
Function and Description: The sensor independently detects each eyelet, allowing for the identification of double or multi-weft insertions. It includes single-double switches for setting up pairs of eyelets for double weft insertions. Sensitivity is adjustable via a DC voltage (0–6.5 V) or a potentiometer on some models. Optimal yarn detection occurs at a 10–15° angle through the eyelet.
Output: The sensor outputs one current unit per moving weft yarn detected. For double weft insertions, each eyelet sends half a current unit, totaling one current unit for the pair.
Specifications:
  • Eyelet diameter: 7 mm
  • Power supply: 24 V DC (16–28 V DC)
  • Current consumption: 125 mA
Definition: The E2070 can monitor various weft insertion combinations, with eight eyelets divided into four pairs, each with a single-double switch. It can detect up to four wefts in one pick.
Operation:
  • Double position: Movement in one eyelet results in half a current unit; movement in both results in one current unit.
  • Single position: Movement in one eyelet results in one current unit.

The yarn movement is transferred into an electric signal, which is ampli-fied and evaluated within the sensor. The weft sensor has a logic current output and is manufac-tured with 4 or 8 eyelets. A green light emitting diode indicates when a yarn is moving. The E2070 weft sensor will detect all eyelets independently. This makes it possible to detect double or multi weft insertions, and also to detect if too many wefts are inserted. Single-Double switches on the wft sensor makes it possible to set up pairs of eyelets for double weft insertions (see also below). A red light emitting diode on the weft sensor will indicate if the machine has stopped because too many wefts were inserted. Function and description Dfinition: One current unit = I =; 6V Eyelet diameter Power supply Current consumption 7 mm 24 V DC (16-28 V DC) 125 mA I Sensor output -O- J 6V DC -O- Sensitivity setting is carried out through a DC voltage 0-6.5 V, normally from the central control unit. Some models have a potentiometer for the sensitivity setting. The movement of the yarn is best detected if the yarn angle is 10-15° through the eyelet. unit as output for each eyelet that detects a moving weft yarn. If one pair of eyelets are set up for double weft insertions they will each send half a current unit, i. e. the pair of wefts will together result in one current unit (see also below).
