ACT-R Automatic Control of Tension for RAPIER WEAVING machines INFO LEAFLET General description The ELTEX ACT-R (Automatic Control of Tension for Rapier machines) is a stand-alone device designed to regulate the weft yarn tension to a constant and required value on a Rapier weaving machine. It is designed to be fitted after the prewinder, and it can be used on any type of Rapier machine. The ELTEX ACT-R will help to weave all kind of fabrics where constant weft yarn tension is essential. Most significant applications are technical fabrics and fabrics with recycled weft yarns. Plug & Play system. No communication must be established with the weaving machine. An ACT-R system is composed of: ELTEX tension monitor ETM Solo. Central unit with buttons for settings and a display to show set tension value and actual yarn tension value. Electromagnetic brake

• The ACT-R automatically controls the yarn tension to the desired value. The desired tension is entered on the central unit. • Plug & Play system. Each unit works independently. No communication must be established with the weaving machine. • Monitors the yarn tension continuously. The reference and actual tensions are displayed on the screen. • The ACT-R system can be used with any type of yarns. It is especially useful for technical fabrics. • Possibility to make zero-set of the ETM Solo sensor. • The ACT-R system compensates for any differences in yarn tension that originates from irregularities...
