Dry type cast resin transformers range from 3.15 MVA to 10 MVA with voltages up to 36 kV, following IEC 60076-11 and IEEE 57.12.01 standards. Both types operate at frequencies of 50-60 Hz.
All transformers undergo individual testing, including routine-acceptance tests such as voltage ratio measurement and impedance voltage measurement. Type tests, like temperature rise and lightning impulse tests, are conducted upon request. Special tests, such as short circuit withstand tests, are performed at CESI laboratories in Milan.
These transformers comply with IEC 60076-13 standards and feature a core made of high permeability steel with cooling channels. Windings are made of 99.9% electrolytic copper, and the transformers are filled with oil under vacuum conditions. Cooling is achieved through tank-mounted radiators, and units can be equipped with fans or pumps. Transformers can operate beyond nominal ratings as per IEC 354 standards.
Built according to IEC 60076-11 standards, these transformers use a core made of cold-rolled oriented grain steel. The LV windings are made of aluminum foil with class H insulation, while MV windings use aluminum foil strips. The casting process involves vacuum and temperature control to ensure high-quality standards.
Transformers can be equipped with accessories like overpressure valves, conservators with diaphragms, and electronic voltage regulators. On-site erection services are available by skilled personnel.
