Linear actuator Insolis 2

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and applications for the Insolis 2 linear actuators, designed for solar photovoltaic systems, specifically for solar tracking systems with elevation and azimuth movements.
Specifications:
  • Internal Limit Switches: Ensure piston rod movement between adjustable end positions.
  • Feedback Signals: Position signal provided on respective limit switches.
  • Versions: Available in AC (230V) and DC (24V) versions.
  • Load Capacity: Dynamic load peak of 5,000 N and static load peak of 15,000 N.
  • Stroke Speed and Length: AC version at 4.5 mm/s, DC version at 2.5 mm/s, with stroke lengths from 500 to 1,000 mm.
  • Protection and Material: IP 65 protection class, anodised aluminium housing and piston.
  • Operating Conditions: Temperature range from -20 to +60 °C, noise emission below 70 dB(A).
Applications: Insolis actuators are used in solar tracking systems for photovoltaic systems, supporting both elevation and azimuth movements. They are corrosion-resistant, maintenance-free, and suitable for outdoor applications.
Dimensional Chart: Provides dimensions for fastening options (lug/pivot) for both AC and DC versions, with specific measurements for different stroke lengths.
Installation and Mounting: Actuators must be mounted with the piston rod facing upwards and PG cable glands facing downwards. Special mounting positions require manufacturer approval.
Wiring Diagrams: Standard wiring diagrams are provided for both 24 V DC and 230 V AC versions, with additional circuit variants available on request.
Contact Information: Elero GmbH provides technical and sales support, with contact details for order processing and inquiries.

Linear actuator Insolis 2-2

Linear actuator Insolis 2 Description and applications Insolis actuators have been specially developed for solar photovoltaic systems. They are used for solar tracking systems with Elevation and Azimuth movements. Insolis 2 actuators are dedicated for photovoltaic systems up to a static load peak of 15,000 N. Also there are versions with encoder or potentiometer for position feedback. The housing is protected as standard to IP 65 and therefore ideally suited to outdoor applications in different climatic conditions. The actuators are corrosionresistant and maintenance-free.
