SB08 – Ring core Current Transformer The SB08 bushing type current transformers can be used for a variety of measuring, revenue metering (billing) and protection tasks. The current transformer SB08 is suitable to put around high-voltage bushings in encapsulated switchgear or in power transformers. The SB08 is meant to be mounted under transformer oil (up to 105°C) or in air, nitrogen or SF6-gas. Current transformers may be equipped with a "flux compensation winding". This additional feature prevents the measurement being influenced by external magnetic fields, caused by -for example- high currents in adjacent phases. The transformer can be ordered independently or as part of a subassembly. Please check our Subassembly Brochure for more information.
