Test Principle
The PoroTest 1 functions as a resistance detector, identifying differences in electrical resistance between the non-conductive coating and water-filled pores. A wet sponge serves as the test sensor. When a pore is detected, moisture from the sponge allows electrical current to flow, triggering an acoustic signal. The device operates on a safe 9V direct current, detecting pores that penetrate the coating thoroughly.
