Overview of Melting Point Apparatus
Electrothermal offers a range of melting point apparatus, including the Mel-Temp® and the IA9000 series (IA9100, IA9200, IA9300). These devices are designed for measuring the melting points of samples with varying degrees of precision and user convenience.

Mel-Temp® Digital Melting Point Apparatus
The Mel-Temp® apparatus provides a temperature resolution of ±1ºC, making it a cost-effective option for users. It features an ergonomic design with a height-adjustable extension arm and a rotatable viewing head for comfortable use. The device includes an 8x magnification viewing magnifier and a collapsible extension arm for easy storage. Key features include a membrane keypad, push-button controls, and a digital microprocessor for accurate temperature control. The maximum oven temperature is 400°C, and the unit can be calibrated by the user or a service organization.

IA9000 Series Digital Melting Point Apparatus
The IA9000 series offers enhanced accuracy with a temperature resolution of ±0.1ºC. It shares ergonomic features with the Mel-Temp®, such as an adjustable arm and viewing head. The series includes models with optional printers and IQ/OQ documentation for compliance with pharmacopeia requirements. The IA9000 series operates between 100 - 240V and includes similar safety and convenience features as the Mel-Temp®, such as audible beeps for stable temperature indication and daylight-balanced LEDs for improved illumination.
