Design Specifications:
Capacitors are available in two main designs based on diameter: Design K (60-85 mm) and Design L (85-116 mm). Both designs feature extruded aluminum cases with M12 base mounting studs and are hermetically sealed. Design K supports a maximum cable cross-section of 1 x 10 mm² per contact and a current of up to 30 A/phase, while Design L supports 2 x 25 mm² per contact and up to 43 A/phase. Design K includes internal discharge resistors, whereas Design L requires separate resistors.

General Technical Data:
Capacitors conform to standards such as IEC 60831, VDE 0560-46/47, CSA C22.2 No. 190-M1985, and UL Standard No. 810. They are CE compliant with rated voltages from 230 to 850 V and a frequency of 50/60 Hz. The maximum permissible current varies by type: MKPg and MKP allow 1.5-2 IN, while MKPc allows 1.3-1.4 IN. Capacitance tolerance ranges from -5% to +10%. The capacitors use inert insulation gas or resin as filling material, with dissipation losses under 0.4 W/kvar. They are designed for temperatures from -40°C to 60°C and have a life expectancy of over 100,000 hours.

Discharge Resistors:
Design K capacitors include discharge resistors for discharging to less than 50V within 60 seconds. For Designs D, L, and M, separate resistor modules are required. The discharge resistors can become very hot during operation, reaching up to 200°C. Specific resistor modules are recommended for parallel capacitor setups exceeding 40kvar.

Operating Conditions:
Capacitors are suitable for non-detuned or low-detuned systems with permitted operating voltages up to 575 V for short durations. The maximum peak rating is 1350 V, and test voltages are specified at 950 V AC/2s and 3600 V AC/2s.

Packaging Details:
Capacitors are packed in cartons sealed with adhesive tape and placed on standard Euro-pallets, which can be fumigated if necessary. The pallets are wrapped in PP-foil for protection during transport.
