E-COAT MASTER P SERIES DEVICES INTRODUCTION E-FEED AP Application Scale E-FEED AP is the model name for the application pump and E-COAT Master P is the model name for the controller that is designed to control the E-GUN C1 and E-FEED AP. The E-COAT Master P kit names are defined for the device models depending on the number of E-FEED AP used and the application type that is chosen for operation. The E-FEED AP application pump can be found in any of the device kits depending on the model just like the current E-COAT Master series with injector. The E-FEED AP can only be controlled by the controller E-COAT Master P. So that, the E-FEED AP is not compatible with E-COAT Master control unit. A single-pump type device kit can be extended to a double-pump type when necessary. The addition of second E-FEED AP might be needed for increased powder flow rates and usage of thermoplastic type paints. Converting a single pump system to a double pump one is an effortless upgrade which can be done simply by adding the “Second E-FEED AP Addition Kit” to the single-pumped system. The E-COAT Master P control units are compatible with the device cabinets that are used for current E-COAT Master control units. Generally the advantages and differences of the devices with E-FEED AP application pumps regarding to the current E-COAT Master series with regular injectors can be found below; - High Powder Flow Rate Notes; o The P2 models (Double-E-FEED AP models) are recommended for the thermoplastic type paints. P models’ (Single-E-FEED AP models) flow rate might not satisfy the apllication needs for thermoplastic painting o The paint flow rate of P models can reach up to 500 g/min, while the max flow rate of the P2 models is about 850 g/min for the applications with regular thermoset type paints, o The paint flow rate of the P2 models varies between 350 – 550 g/min depending on the particle size of the termoplastic type paint o The production cost of a thermoplastic type paint highly depends on the average particle size of it. The production cost increases as the particle size gets smaller. So that, some of the end users might be willing to use thermoplastic paint types with larger particle sizes for lower cost needs, even though these type of thermoplastic paints are not always suitable for spraying but produced for fluidized bed applications. As a result of the tests, where <= 315 micron particle sized fluidized bed type thermoplastic paint is used, the max. paint flow rate of double-pump (P2) spraying system is observed to be as much as 350 g/min which is totally satisfactory for the application needs. - Improved “Faraday Cage” and “Orange Peel” effect immunity because of the “Less Air, More Paint” type powder transfer technology - Longer lifetime for consumable parts. (1000 Hours for P type, 1500 Hours for P2 type) - Better “Process Control” capability as the E-FEED AP system does not include any spare or consumable parts which lowers the powder rate gradually while being used like teflon bushing inside the regular injector

E-FEED AP includes the “Purge” system inside itself so that the operator can easily go into the “Purge” scenario to clean up the powder way without depending on the device kit type. The needs for the fast color change process needs to be considered while choosing a model among a box type or hopper type device kit. The E-FEED PM324 model powder management center will be the compatible product for the application pump E-FEED AP. The E-COAT Master P-H device kit which includes a single pumped manual device configuration with stainless powder hopper, is designed for non-thermoplastic manual applications where quick color change is not necessary but higher powder flow rates and better surface quality is needed. This is a manual type hopper included solution with a device trolley to be mobilized.
