Single Phase Motor Protector Overview
The 'F' type motor protector is designed to safeguard single-phase induction motors from overload and locked rotor conditions. It is commonly used in electric pumps and general-purpose electric motors. There are two versions available: automatic reset, suitable for applications that can safely restart after cooling, and manual reset, for situations where automatic restarting could be hazardous.

General Characteristics
  • Contact Specification: Single pole - Double break. Automatic reset supports 135A at 125Vac and 100A at 250Vac with a minimum of 3,000 cycles. Manual reset supports 180A at 125Vac and 135A at 250Vac with a minimum of 500 cycles. These ratings are for locked-rotor inductive currents (LRA).
  • Temperature Adjustment: Automatic reset opens between 105°C to 150°C ± 10°C and closes between 52°C to 102°C ± 11°C. Manual reset opens between 105°C to 150°C ± 10°C and requires a manual reset after 3 seconds from trip.
  • Terminal Configuration: Options include weld and solder terminals.
  • Approvals: C UL 51822 certified.
