Product catalog summary
Basic Information
The document provides details about the self-operated pressure reducing valve, Model PRV44. It is designed to close when outlet pressure increases and is suitable for steam, compressed air, water, and neutral gases. The valve has a Kv range of 2.0 to 3.0 [m3/h]·[bar] and a Cv range of 2.3 to 3.5 [gpm]·[psi]. It operates within a temperature range of -10 to 210ºC (14 to 410ºF) and supports connections that are flanged (DIN - ANSI) or threaded (BSP - NPT). The inlet maximum pressure is 16 [barg], and the outlet pressure ranges from 0.2 to 8 [barg]. Available sizes are DN15, DN20, and DN25 (1/2”, 3/4”, and 1”).
Materials
The valve components are made from various materials, primarily stainless steel (S.S.) and PTFE for seals and gaskets. Key parts include the body, seal screw, seat, spring cover, and regulation screw, all made from stainless steel (AISI 316 or 316L), while the seal and gaskets use Graphite PTFE and PTFE materials.
Dimensions and Kv
The valve dimensions are consistent across sizes DN15, DN20, and DN25, with a height (H1) of 135 mm and a total height (H2) of 185 mm. The weight for each size is 2.5 kg. The Kv values are 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 for DN15, DN20, and DN25, respectively.
Standard Configurations
The standard configurations detail the dimensions for both EN and ANSI standards, including the number of holes and diameter for each size. The weight for each configuration is 5 kg.
Operation
The PRV44 operates on a direct action principle. The valve closes when the downstream pressure exceeds the set pressure. Adjustments to the outlet pressure are made by turning the regulating screw anticlockwise. It is recommended to leave a space of 0.5 to 1 meter before the check valve for better compensation.
Standard Installations
The document outlines the standard installation components, including check valves, filters, inlet and outlet pressure manometers, the pressure reducing valve, and a safety valve. The system is ATEX approved.

Model PRV44-4

Model PRV44 – Pressure Reducing Valve OPERATION PRV concept is direct action. Inlet pressure comes into the valve and closes it because of the sections difference. When we compress the spring (10) through the regulating screw (9), the stem-seal (11, 17 and 3) opens the valve and allows the regulation. When any downstream valve is closed and flow=0, PRV will absorb the oscillations and keep the outlet pressure according to the regulation. The valve closes when the downstream pressure exceeds the regulating set pressure. It is recommended to leave a space (between 0,5 and 1 meter) until the c heck...
