EPLED Series

Product catalog summary
Overview: The EPLED series of picosecond pulsed LEDs are designed for fluorescence lifetime measurements, offering a compact and integrated solution with low RF radiation and optimized collimated beams. They are suitable for Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) and other spectroscopy applications, bridging the gap between nanosecond flashlamps and expensive femtosecond lasers.
Key Features:
  • 15 pre-set repetition frequencies ranging from 2.5 KHz to 20 MHz.
  • External trigger capability for standalone operation.
  • Spectrally purified output with built-in filters to minimize out-of-band emissions.
  • Robust, maintenance-free design with proprietary beam conditioning optics.
Specifications:
  • Laser Class: Class 3B, 3R, or 2 depending on the model.
  • Repetition Rate: Options from 2.5 KHz to 20 MHz.
  • Bias Supply: 15 Vdc +/- 5%, 15W.
  • Trigger Output: SMA, NIM Standard.
  • Physical Dimensions: 168 mm length x 64 mm x 64 mm, weight 800 g.
Safety and Compliance: The product complies with US federal laser product performance standards and IEC 60825-1:2001. Users are advised to avoid exposure to the beam as it may be harmful to the eyes and skin.
Performance Data:
  • UV Series: Wavelengths range from 250 nm to 380 nm with typical pulse widths from 850 ps to 1000 ps.
  • VIS Series: Wavelengths range from 563 nm to 610 nm with typical pulse widths from 1250 ps to 1500 ps.

EPLED Series-1

EPLED SERIES Picosecond Pulsed UV & Vis LEDs The EPLED picosecond pulsed LEDs are ideal excitation sources for fluorescence lifetime measurements providing coverage in the UV and visible ranges. In Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) they bridge the gap between the nanosecond flashlamp and expensive mode-locked Titanium sapphire femtosecond lasers. In addition, their external trigger capability makes them suitable for standalone operation in a wide range of spectroscopy applications. The EPLEDs are pre-adjusted for an optimum pulse width, with particular attention paid to reducing a long tail in the temporal profile. KEY FEATURES Optimised for TCSPC 15 pre-set repetition frequencies from 2.5 KHz to 20 MHz External trigger capability Spectrally purified output Fully integrated & compact design Extremely low RF radiation Optimised collimated beam Drive electronics included EPLEDs are robust, maintenance free, easy to operate and have proprietary beam conditioning optics.
