ERZ100_Electrochemical_Impedance_Analyser - 1

Z100 Electrochemical Impedance Analyzer (Model ERZ100) • Turns a potentiostat or electronic load into an EIS system • Plug and play installation • Simple operating software (Z Navigator™) • Powerful analysis software (ZMAN™) • Frequency analysis from1 mHz to 1 MHz • Independently selectable input ranges ±20 mV to ±10 V • 16 bit A/D resolution • Real time graphs (Bode, Nyquist etc.) during recording • USB 2.0 and 1.1 compliant The Z100 Electrochemical Impednace Analyzer is a combination of waveform generator and frequency response analyzer, capable of working with a suitable potentiostat, galvanostat, or electronic load, to perform electrochemical impedance spectromtery (EIS) experiments in the range of 1  mHz to 100  kHz. EIS is a powerful non-destructive technique for characterizing layered structures and surfaces, and interfacial phenomena. Typically the impedance results are modelled as a combination of electrical resistors and capacitors so that, in well defined samples, the thickness and electrical properties of the constituent sub-layers can be determined. The results are generally complementary, and cost effective, when compared to other surface analysis methods such as electron or atomic force microscopy, neutron reflectometry, or quartz crystal microbalance gravimetry. Software Both Z Navigator operating software, and ZMAN analysis/ modelling software is shipped with every Z100 system. System Compatibility A Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 computer is required. Typical application areas are varied and include surface corrosion, membrane structure and permeability, self-assembled monolayers (SAMs), biosensors, epitaxial layers, interfacial ion transport, battery and fuel cell characterization and performance, and biocompatible surfaces. The eDAQ EA163 Potentiostat is compatible, please ask about other potentiostats and electronic loads. Electrochemical Impedance Analyzer Z100 Indicator lights Analog signal output to potentiostat. BNC connector Auxiliary ground, 4 mm terminal post Analog signal inputs, from potentiostat. BNC connectors I2C port, to EA163 Potentiostat. DB-9 connector Power socket
