INFLATABLE SEAT INFLAS

Product catalog summary
Technical Data
The INFLAS® inflatable seat system is designed for highly abrasive or sensitive media, suitable for resilient seated butterfly valves with interchangeable seats ranging from DN 80 to DN 600. In the closed position, low air pressure presses the liner against the disc to securely seal the media. Before opening, the chamber is vented to create an air gap, reducing the torque needed to open the valve. A gap-free version is available for higher pressures and extremely abrasive media.

The EBRO Control
The control system operates as follows: a digital signal indicates 'OPEN', air pressure is reduced, and the valve opens if no pressure is on the liner. The 'OPEN' position is confirmed, and upon signal disappearance, the valve closes, confirming the 'CLOSED' position. When closed, the liner is pressurized, and a plausibility check is conducted, reporting 'OK' when pressure is applied.

General Applications
  • Bulk goods
  • Food industry
  • Pneumatic conveying systems
  • Weighing technology
  • Core shooting machinery (GF-version)

Advantages
  • Low wear of parts in abrasive media
  • Reduced torque requirements
  • Minimal grinding/clamping of sensitive media
  • Additional safety with cascade shaft seal

Product Variants
Variants include INFLAS® ECO, PRO, and PRO VACUUM, each offering features like inflatable seats, inflation pressure control, central air supply, and electronic control of sequences. Options include a vacuum module and ATEX compliance.

Functional Description
In the closed state, the seat inflates against the disc for a bidirectional bubble-tight seal. As the valve closes, the disc contacts the seat, reducing friction and torque requirements.

Material Specifications
The document provides detailed material specifications for various parts, including the body, seat, disc, and seals, with materials like stainless steel, nitrile butadiene rubber, and fluorocarbon rubber.

INFLATABLE SEAT INFLAS-1

INFLATABLE SEAT “INFLAS®” TECHNICAL DATA The sealing system was developed for highly abrasive or very sensitive media. Available for all resilient seated butterfly valves with interchangeable seat from DN 80 - DN 600. In closed position, the liner will be pressed against the disc using low air pressure. The media is sealed off securely. Before opening the disc, the chamber is vented behind the liner. This creates an air gap between the liner and the disc, hence low torque is required to open the valve. A gap-free special version (GF) is also available for higher pressures, pressure surges or extremely abrasive media. ADVANTAGES Extremely low wear of parts even in contact with abrasive media Low sized actuators due to reduced torques Low grinding/-clamping of sensitive media between disc and liner Resilient seated butterfly valve type Z011-A INFLAS PRO Vaccum with inflatable liner. Additional safety due to cascade shaft seal, as no false air can be drawn in via the shaft and the cascade simultaneously protects the shaft bearings from dirt and dust. THE EBRO CONTROL 1. Signal “OPEN” appears as a digital signal 2. The air pressure is reduced behind the liner 3. The valve will open if there is no pressure on the liner 4. Position “OPEN” will be confirmed 5. When the signal disappears, the valve will close 6. Position „CLOSED“ will be confirmed 7. When the valve is closed, the liner will be pressurised and the plausibility check is carried out 8. When pressure is on the liner „OK“ will be reported GENERAL APPLICATIONS - Bulk goods - Food industry - Pneumatic conveying systems - Weighing technology - Core shooting machinery (GF-version)
