The Traction Parking Brake consists of multiple wet friction plates. Open the catalog to page 9Relief Valve Relief Valves are incorporated into the system to prevent internal damage of the Track Drive Motor. When the control valve ports A and B are blocked, there is no flow to the motor preventing any further traction movement. However, due to travel inertia of the excavator's upper body the motor will continue to rotate which induces excessive over pressure in the downstream port.
