Hydraulic Remote Controls

Product catalog summary
General Description
Hydraulic Remote Controls (HRCs) are devices designed to activate and control directional valves or pumps from a remote location. They come in hand, foot, and mechanically operated versions, often installed in vehicle armrests or consoles. HRCs function by receiving a constant input pressure and producing a variable output pressure based on lever or pedal movement, which controls the main directional control valves.
Operating Data
The specifications for HRC models include:
  • Maximum inlet pressure: 50-100 bar
  • Maximum back pressure: 3 bar
  • Rated flow: 8-35 LPM
  • Output pressure: 0-30 bar
  • Operation torque: 1.6-173.8 NM
  • Fluid: Mineral oil
  • Fluid temperature range: -20° to 90°C
  • Ambient temperature range: -40° to 60°C
  • Viscosity: 12 - 400 mm²/s
  • Maximum fluid contamination: 18/16/13 - ISO 4406
Features and Benefits
HRCs improve productivity by requiring minimal operator effort and providing precise control, reducing wear and tear. They offer design flexibility for single-station control of widely placed valves and contribute to a safer, cleaner operating environment by minimizing noise and fire hazards. HRCs also optimize piping, quietness, and heat dissipation, and can be matched to main stage valves for optimal performance.
HRC Models
HRC4 Model: A double function valve with various hand-operated lever styles, typically used to control two double-acting spools with a single joystick. It features multiple port sizes and actuator types, with options for proportional pressure control.
HRC2 Model: A basic joystick-operated valve used for single functions like controlling a dozer. It operates on a pressure reducing concept, providing variable outlet pressure based on lever displacement.
HRCP Model: Includes single or dual pedal valves, often used as travel pedals on tracked vehicles. They operate on the pressure reducing concept, with options for damping and foot plates.
Output Pressure Curves and Service Parts
The document includes detailed output pressure curves and service parts information for each model, ensuring precise control and maintenance.
HRCP Types
HRCP - Type D: A single pedal designed for push-only operations, with detailed dimensions and a functional symbol for installation guidance.
HRCP - Type E: A dual pedal valve with a foot plate and damping feature, providing dimensions and a functional symbol for reference.
HRCP - Type F: A single pedal valve without a foot plate, including dimensions and a functional symbol.
HRCP - Type G: A dual pedal valve without a foot plate, including dimensions and a functional symbol.
HRCP - Type H: A dual pedal valve with a small foot plate and damping, including dimensions and a functional symbol.
Pressure Control Curves
The document provides pressure control curves for various pedal types, indicating output pressure, stroke, and available options, distinguishing between cast iron and aluminum body materials.
Service Parts
Lists seal kits available for different models, with references to service literature for more information.

Hydraulic Remote Controls-3

General Description Supply flow from a dedicated pump Hydraulic Remote Controls (HRCs) are used to activate and control directional valves or pumps from a remote and single operating station. HRCs come in hand, foot and mechanically operated versions. On vehicles they are typically installed in seat armrests or in a console. There are various methods of supplying the flow to the Hydraulic Remote Control. The most common and generally recommended is a separate pump. In all applications, filtrations must be installed to maintain the fluid cleanness level within the specified limit. Fluctuation...

Hydraulic Remote Controls-4

General Description Features and Benefits • Less noise. The use of an HRC allows better insulation between the cab, engine and other machine parts. Lower hysteresis provides superior control and as a result reduces vehicle shock and subsequent noise levels. • Higher productivity. HRCs require very little operator effort, increasing more productivity from both man and machine. • Enhanced operator safety. • Precise control. The HRC needs only low working pressure, about 30 bar (435 psi). Reducing the risk to the operator in a situation of pipe failure. Excellent pressure metering capabilities allows...
