Product catalog summary
Important Safety Information
Proper selection and installation of Aeroquip hoses and fittings are essential for safe operation. Incorrect choices can lead to hose leakage, bursting, or failure, potentially causing injury or property damage. Key selection factors include hose size, length, ends, fluid type, bends, temperature, pressure, and installation design. Regular maintenance and inspections are recommended to prevent damage.
System Specifications & Equipment
The ET3000 system is designed for crimping various hose types, including MatchMate, Teflon, and thermoplastic hoses. It features a free-standing base with dimensions of 22.5" high, 14" long, and 10.5" wide, weighing 112 lbs. The system includes different pump options, each with specific dimensions, pressure capacities, and hydraulic oil requirements.
Optional Tooling & Kits
Various tooling packages, such as TTC and TTC12, are available. These contain spacer rings and collet assemblies in different colors and specifications, essential for specific hose types and applications.
Check-Out Procedure
Before using the ET3000 system, a check-out procedure ensures all components are correctly assembled and functioning. This includes verifying the compatibility of hoses and fittings and ensuring the system is defect-free.
Set-Up & Operating Instructions
Detailed instructions are provided for setting up and operating different ET3000 models, including HP, AH, EP, and TA variants. Each model has specific requirements for mounting, pressure settings, and operational guidelines.
Hose Preparation & Installation
Proper hose preparation involves ensuring the correct length, protection from high temperatures, and avoiding twisting or improper movement. Installation should consider bend radius, strain relief, and abrasion protection.
Crimp Diameter Measurement
Accurate measurement of crimp diameter is essential for ensuring the integrity and performance of hose assemblies.
Repair & Replacement Items
Guidance is provided on identifying and replacing worn or damaged components to maintain system reliability.
Warranty
The Aeroquip limited warranty applies only when compatible components are used together, ensuring the reliability and safety of the hose assembly system.
Overview
The document provides setup and operating instructions for the Eaton ET3000 Portable Crimp System, detailing procedures for different models (ET3000-HP, ET3000-AH, ET3000-TA, ET3000-EP) and maintenance guidelines.
Check-Out Procedure
Ensure proper oil levels in the power unit. For models ET3000-TA and ET3000-EP, connect the hose assembly. Use pipe thread compound on all pipe threads and check for leaks.
Model-Specific Instructions
  • ET3000-HP: Vent the reservoir, extend and retract the pusher multiple times to purge air.
  • ET3000-AH: Connect air supply, adjust pressure, and purge air by extending and retracting the pusher.
  • ET3000-TA: Similar to ET3000-AH but with higher air pressure requirements.
  • ET3000-EP: Connect to a power source, vent the reservoir, and purge air using the pendant switch.
Crimping Procedure
  • Vent the pump reservoir and lubricate the die ring periodically.
  • Insert the appropriate adapter die ring and collet.
  • Align the hose assembly and crimp scribe line correctly.
  • Use the correct spacer ring and ensure the crimp is complete by checking the contact with the base plate.
  • Inspect the crimped end for diameter and specification compliance.
Hose Preparation Instructions
  • Cut the hose squarely and clean the bore.
  • Insert the fitting to the correct depth using a gauge.
  • Crimp the fitting and measure the crimp diameter and ovality.
Maintenance
  • Lubricate the sliding surface of dies every 30 crimps.
  • Remove old grease and re-lubricate every 250 crimps.
  • Inspect for wear every 1,000 crimps.
Crimp Diameter Measurement
  • Measure at specified locations and calculate the average of four measurements.
  • Crimp ovality is the difference between the largest and smallest diameter measurements.
Repair and Replacement Items
Lists parts and kits available for repair and replacement, including pushers, pumps, and hose assemblies.
