Application Data Numbering Systems Parts in this catalog are identified by a series of numbers separated by the letter “X. ” 1. The number preceding the “X” is the Catalog “Base Number” and indicates the type of connector. See Table 1 for additional base number data (sometimes referred to as dash size). 2. The second number is the tube and/or pipe size in sixteenths of an inch. When a pipe thread for a given tube size follows the SAE standard as shown in Table 2, no other number is required.
