New styles of protective shrouds are now available for use with EAO’s Series 04 and 44 ISO 13850 approved “fool-proof” emergency stop switches. These easily identifiable devices further prevent accidental actuation of an emergency control switch, but do allow for easy access and immediate activation by the palm of an operator’s hand. The shrouds utilize a 22.5mm diameter mounting cut-out and are available in two sizes – 50mm (704.927.8) and 83mm (704.927.9). Each shroud also maintains an IP65 front panel rating by way of an attached sealing gasket and also contains an anti-rotation notch to prevent movement within the panel upon release of the actuator. EAO Part Number 704.927.9 SEMI S2-93/12.4c compliant EAO part number 704.927.9 meets the commonly required SEMI S2 standard (SEMI S2-93/12.4c) by accommodating a large overall diameter of 3 inches or greater. Re-setting of the switch actuator is easily allowed by providing ample access to the twist-to-release action. And, to offer additional protection, openings within the shroud bezels allow for lock-out padlocks to prevent unauthorized re-setting of the apparatus.
