Statotherm R profile rings R901/B..

Statotherm R profile rings R901/B..

Product catalog summary
Features
Statotherm R profile rings R901/B are crafted from high-purity, expanded graphite (≥ 99.85% purity) without binders or fillers, making them nearly maintenance-free. They are designed to endure extreme temperature fluctuations and ranges unsuitable for elastomeric O-rings.

Advantages
The rings operate under pressures up to 500 bar and are resistant to a wide range of chemicals (pH 0-14), including most acids, alkalis, oils, and solvents. They are suitable for temperatures from -200°C to +500°C, with a maximum of +550°C for steam applications.

Standards and Approvals
Statotherm profile rings comply with TA Luft standards and BAM approvals are available upon request.

Notes
These rings should only deform axially, and the sealing groove must prevent radial deformation to avoid damage.

Article Variants
Variants include R901/B5 to R901/B8, with densities ranging from 1.3 to 1.8 g/cm³. The R904 variant features reduced sulfur content (<200 ppm).

Forms of Supply
Available in various dimensions (minimum cross-section 3 mm, up to 1,000 mm diameter) and forms, including precompressed, closed, split, or with a slanted cut. Protective caps are available on request.

Recommended Applications
Ideal for industries such as process, petrochemical, chemical, power plant technology, and building services. They are particularly suited for pump applications with a sliding velocity of 2 m/s.

Statotherm R profile rings R901/B..-1

amemberof BCSl and FREUDENBERG RELY ON EXCELLENCE Features Statotherm R profile rings R901/B are made from permanently elastic, expanded graphite (purity > 99.85%, ash content <0.15 %, chloride content <20 ppm) without binders or fillers. Statotherm R profile rings R901/B are almost maintenance-free and are intended for exposure to extreme temperature cycling and/ or high or low temperature ranges which cannot be withstood by elastomeric O-rings. Advantages • High purity nuclear grade graphite • Outstanding deformability • Permanent resiliency • Permanent elasticity • Good cross-sectional tightness Operating range Pressure: p = 500 bar Sliding velocity • Pump application vg = 2 m/s Temperature • Continuous operation: t = -200 °C ... +500 °C • Steam: tmax+550° Recommended surface roughness: RZ = 10 -40 pm Chemical resistance: pH = 0 ... 14 Resistant to almost all organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, oils and solvents. Standards and approvals • TA Luft • BAM (upon request) Notes Statotherm profile rings must only be permitted to deform in the axial direction. The sealing groove must be designed to prevent tensile stresses causedby widening of the profile rings (which are damaged by radial deformation).
