Elastic Tankpak 6756

Product catalog summary
Features
EagleBurgmann Elastic Tankpak 6756 is a high-performance gasket designed for sealing transport containers for chemicals or solvents. It features a core made from hollow elastomeric material (EPDM) wrapped in PTFE foil, ensuring optimal chemical resistance. A polypropylene middle layer acts as a cushion, wrapped with PTFE foil, and the entire seal is over-braided with PTFE yarn for added strength.

Advantages
  • Outstanding recovery curve
  • Suitable for repeated opening and closing of container covers
  • Universal chemical resistance
  • Enormous inherent strength
  • Optimized abrasion resistance
  • Reusable

Operating Range
  • Pressure: 0.7 bar
  • Temperature: Continuous operation from -50°C to +100°C (up to +250°C for variant 6756/TH)
  • Chemical resistance: pH 0 to 14, resistant to acids, alkalis, oils, organic solvents, and chemicals

Standards and Approvals
  • DNV, USCG (PO2/1,2 Butylenoxid)
  • Germanischer Lloyd

Notes
For rectangular cross-sections, the width/height ratio should not exceed 3:2. Surface pressure must be evenly distributed and applied incrementally. The sealing surface must be smooth and rounded to prevent damage. The packing can be stored for up to 3 years in cool, dry conditions.

Article Numbers of Variants
  • 6756/TG (EPDM core/Polypropylene/PTFE)
  • 6756/TH (Elastomer core/Glass fibre/PTFE)

Forms of Supply
Available in round or rectangular molded parts, 10 mm to 60 mm, to suit application needs.

Recommended Applications
Ideal for the chemical industry and shipbuilding.

amemberof BCSl and FREUDENBERG RELY ON EXCELLENCE Features EagleBurgmann Elastic Tankpak 6756 is an excellent gasket for sealing transport containers for chemicals or solvents. The core is made from a hollow elastomeric material (EPDM) wrapped in PTFE foil, thus guaranteeing optimum chemical resistance for the entire seal. The polypropylene middle layer primarily acts as a cushion and buffer, and it is first wrapped with PTFE foil. The entire seal is then over-braided with PTFE yarn, fixing it firmly to the rest of the material composite. Advantages • Outstanding recovery curve • Suitable for repeated opening and closing of container covers • Universal chemical resistance • Enormous inherent strength • Optimized abrasion resistance • Reusable Operating range Pressure: p = 0,7 bar Temperature • Continuous operation: t = -50 ... +100 °C • Continuous operation 6756/TH: t = -50 °C ... +250°C Chemical resistance: pH = 0 ... 14 Resistant to acids, alkalis, oils, organic solvents and liquid and powdered chemicals. Standards and approvals • DNV, USCG (PO2/1,2 Butylenoxid) • Germanischer Lloyd Notes For rectangular cross-sections, the maximum width/height ratio should ideally not exceed 3:2. The surface pressure applied to the seal must be evenly distributed around the edge, and must be applied in small increments by attaching as many toggles or clamps as necessary. The sealing surface on the edge of the container or coaming must be smooth and rounded to avoid damaging the seal. The packing may be safely stored in its original packaging for up to 3 years under cool, dry storage conditions.
