Dymo D1 is a versatile tape system available in 14 color combinations and five widths (6, 9, 12, 19, and 24mm) with a 7-meter roll length. Made from PET, these tapes are suitable for office, retail, consumer, and outdoor applications.
The product complies with REACH 1907/2006/EC and RoHS 2011/65/EC, 2015/863/EC Annex II standards.
The tape has a thickness of 137 ± 10% microns, and the liner is 55 ± 10% microns.
Adhesion varies by surface, with notable adhesion to glass (10 N/25mm at 20 min, 19 N/25mm at 24 hrs) and stainless steel (13 N/25mm at 20 min, 23 N/25mm at 24 hrs).
The tape shows no visible effect after 30 rubs with a pencil erasure or polystyrene pin. It withstands water but loses printing with 30 rubs of IPA.
Application temperatures range from 10°C (50°F) minimum, with service temperatures from -18°C to 80°C (-0.4°F to 176°F).
The tape has a shelf life of 2 years when stored at 5-25°C (41-77°F) and 40-85% relative humidity.
Real-life testing shows no visible effect after 12 months outdoors. Accelerated testing simulating 1 year indoors also shows no visible effect.
- Low Temperature (-18°C/-0.4°F): Barcodes remain readable, and tape peels cleanly.
- High Temperature (80°C/176°F): Barcodes remain readable, and tape peels cleanly with minimal color change.
- Humidity (40°C/104°F, 85% R.H.): Barcodes remain readable, and tape peels cleanly with no visible color effects.
