A NON-CONTACT MULTIPURPOSE METROLOGY PLATFORM Our client sought a new solution that would accurately measure hip stems with a porous additive coating at higher speeds. • ZeroTouch measured the entire part surface, generating a high-density, micron-level point cloud and identified previously undetected issues. • ZeroTouch executed the inspection plan with 27 Critical to Quality measurements in just 8 minutes versus the tactile methods, which took 15 minutes. • ZeroTouch performed all measurements that previously required multiple systems: CMMs, optical comparators, gaging stations, calipers, and visual inspections. • ZeroTouch does not use special developer coatings for specular surface finish parts.
