MD-90 Two Channel Piezo Amplifier Description The MD-90 two channel piezo amplifier is DSM’s latest addition to a growing selection of high-quality piezo electronics. This OEM unit can be used in two primary ways as a: 1) 2-channel piezo motor driver complete with quadrature encoder feedback and 2) 2-channel piezo device amplifier with analog feedback for both closed and open-loop operation. * Specifications • Channels: 2 with USB Interface Operation Built on the proven performance of DSM’s VF-90 amplifiers, the MD-90 offers a 2channel linear amplifier with integrated controller. Each channel is independently controlled. Preprogrammed waveforms for DSM’s motors are included. * Custom Configuration • Maximum Continuous Current: 90 mA (RMS current into a capacitive load) • Maximum Peak Current: 90 mA • Output Voltage: 2 Channels -30/+150V • Amplifier bandwidth: > 5 kHz (-3 dB) • Electrical Noise on Output: ~2mVrms • Operating Voltage: 24VDC input @ 3A • Short circuit, over-current, and over-temperature protection Analog • Two 16-bit and two 12-bit differential inputs • Two 16-bit DACS • Configurable input voltages (eight ranges) Digital • Differential or single ended encoder inputs 5V 1A max to power encoder • Eight digital IO lines ( can be configured for input or output during manufacturing) Processors • Dedicated power supply controller (closed loop voltage control) • Remote enable and soft start to limit current on power up • Main controller limits output current for each channel Physical • OEM style with board edge connectors • 1” X 2” X 6” enclo
