Product catalog summary
Technical Specification Overview
Description: Akyplen® Rigid is a solid polypropylene extruded product with a thickness of 0.5 mm, weight of 550 gr/sqm, and density of 1.1. It is available in white, with other options on request.
Dimensions: The standard dimensions are 700 mm width and 1000 mm length, with tolerances of +/- 2 mm and 0/+4 mm respectively. Squareness tolerance is 2 mm/m.
Logistics: Each pallet contains 2000 pieces, with dimensions of 700 x 1000 x 1150 mm. The pallet is protected with wood, PP corners, and PE stretch foil. Storage should be inside, in a dry place, and at one level.
Treatment: The product undergoes corona treatment with a minimum surface energy of 38 mN/m, lasting 6 months. Anti-static and UV treatments are available on request.
Printing: Supports UV offset, silkscreen, and digital printing on one or both sides. Additional varnish is recommended for better protection of printing results.
Converting: Suitable for gluing (hot melt: PP or polyurethane reactive), welding, and various cutting methods (guillotine, die cut, laser, knife, plotter).
Regulations: Complies with RoHS, 94/62/EC, and REACH/SVHC. For food contact compliance, consultation is required.
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength at yield is 40 MPa, elongation at yield is 7%, flexural modulus is 2000 MPa, and Charpy impact strength at 23°C is 5.5 KJ/m².
Thermal Properties: Melting point is 165°C, flash point is 350°C, auto ignition temperature is >380°C, and thermal expansion coefficient is 0.1 mm/m°C.
Chemical Resistance: Polypropylene is chemically inert, resistant to cracking under stress, and unaffected by water solutions of mineral salts, chemical bases, and mineral acids below 60°C, except very strong acids.
Environmental Impact: Polypropylene is not biodegradable but can be thermally recycled or incinerated, producing carbon dioxide and water. Mechanical recycling is also feasible.
Recycling Properties: Polypropylene waste can be recycled by collecting, separating, milling, melting, and extruding into granules for reuse.
Additional Information: The document provides guidance only and is not contractual. The producer reserves the right to develop the product and its technical characteristics.
