The granulate is placed into powder hoppers and conveyed to filling funnels via hoses. The funnel fills the die volumetrically, followed by pressing. The process can include intermediate or final pressing, producing one- or multi-layer segments with or without diamond-free backing. After final pressing, the segment is ejected and removed by a segment pull ejector.
