Bead Cold Press BCP 100

Bead Cold Press BCP 100

Product catalog summary
Main Features
  • High Productivity: The BCP 100 can produce up to 18 beads per minute, depending on granules and tools.
  • Durability: The C-frame design with three hydraulic CNC axes ensures less wear on the punch and die, extending their lifespan.
  • Quality Assurance: An electrically driven filling shoe and force measurement on the upper punch ensure high and consistent bead quality.
  • Cost Efficiency: A new clamping system reduces die costs with a pressure force of up to 1.5 t.
  • Reduced Setup Times: Easy access to machine parts allows quick tool replacement and service.
Options
  • Additional function for discharging out-of-tolerance beads.
  • Assembly unit for beads, including perforated plate for carriers, beads, and rings.
Functioning

The machine uses metal-powder granules conveyed from a hopper into a filling system. The filling funnel positions over the die to fill it with granules. After pressing, the lower punch ejects the bead, which is then guided into a collecting box.

Technical Data
  • Electric Power: 8 kVA, 3 x 400 V, 50/60 Hz.
  • Cooling Water: Consumption of approx. 20 l/min, with a recommended temperature of 15 – 25 °C.
  • Suction System: Requires a connection for a hose or pipe with an inner diameter of 100 mm and an air flow rate of 800 m³/h.
  • Pressing Force: 3 – 50 kN.
  • Productivity: Average of 14 beads/min, maximum of 18 beads/min.
  • Bead Specifications: Outer diameter of 7 – 12 mm, inner diameter of 4 – 9 mm, length of 7 – 11 mm.
  • Dimensions and Weight: 1,140 x 1,360 x 2,220 mm, approx. 1,750 kg.

FUNCTIONING The metal-powder granules are provided in a powder hopper, from where they are conveyed into the filling system via a hose. The exact positioning of the lower ring punch in the die determines the filling space. The filling funnel moves over the die and conveys the metal-powder granules into the filling space. When the die is filled, the pressing process starts. After pressing, the lower punch moves up, pushing the bead out of the die. When the next filling of the die takes place, the filling funnel pushes, by means of the sliding piece which is fitted to the filling funnel, the pressed...
