Chemical and Industrial Manufacturing Solutions Dow Corning® AFE 1267 Antifoam Emulsion is a high-solid-content product specially developed for the metalworking fluid (MWF) industry. This formulation aid can be used for defoaming a range of metalworking fluid formulations, including various emulsions and microemulsions, in various solubilities and chemical solutions. Performance Based on the pump test and shake test, Dow Corning AFE 1267 Antifoam Emulsion demonstrates better knockdown and persistency performance (see Table 1) than a competitive product. Dow Corning AFE 1267 Antifoam Emulsion also provides better antifiltration performance, as shown in Figure 1 on page 2. Additionally, Dow Corning AFE 1267 Antifoam Emulsion demonstrates transparency while providing equivalent defoaming performance, as shown in Figure 2 on page 2. Table 1.
