Zinc regulation DOT uses the following guidelines for zinc regulations: Group A – (low zinc surcharge) This regulation is used for heavy materials (UNP and IPE from 160 and all HEB and HEA in straight lengths from 1.500 – 12.800 mm). Group B – (normal zinc surcharge) This regulation is used for normal forging work. Group C – (high zinc surcharge) This regulation is used for materials with high zinc comsumption (for example pipe materials, welded mesh reinforcement, finned tube or very light constructions).
