The water-powered dosing technology features two models with adjustable injection ranges. The water flow range is between 5 - 700 l/h (2.8 Fl oz/min - 3 US GPM) and operates under a pressure of 0.3 – 6 bar (4.3 – 85 PSI). The system is designed for use with water, and for other fluids, consultation is required.
Technology and Functionality
This non-electric proportional dosing system uses water flow and pressure as its energy source. It includes a compact Dosatron, wall bracket, transparent suction tube, and an owner’s manual. The system is equipped with a security valve that requires a differential pressure of 1.5 bar to engage.
Materials and Construction
The housing is made of polypropylene and EPDM, while the motor piston includes materials like polypropylene, peek, stainless steel, teflon, and EPDM HT. The injection area uses polypropylene, polyethylene, and hastelloy for the check valve spring.
Performance and Accuracy
The dosing rate is adjustable, with an average accuracy of +/- 5% and repeatability of +/- 3% according to API standards. The system can handle a maximum water temperature of 40°C (104°F) and a minimum of 5°C (41°F).
Installation and Maintenance
Installation should comply with local water regulations. Recommendations include installing a filter upstream, changing dosing seals annually, and ensuring correct water flow direction. Regular rinsing with clear water and pressure adjustments are advised.
Options and Compatibility
Various options are available to adapt the Dosatron to specific needs, including recommended seals for alkaline and acid concentrates. Special material hoses and foot strainers are also available.
