Overview
The Donaldson® Ultrac™ AK adsorption filter element is designed for the removal of oil, hydrocarbon vapors, and odors. It consists of two filter stages: an activated carbon stage for adsorption and a microfiber fleece depth filter stage for particle removal. Structural integrity is maintained by support fleece and an outer stainless steel support sleeve.

Characteristics
A special flow insert ensures optimal flow distribution from inside to outside, minimizing pressure loss and maximizing filter material usage. With appropriate prepurification, a residual oil content of less than 0.003 mg/m³ can be achieved.

Initial differential pressure at nominal flow: 1.16 psi.
Recommended application temperature: 50°F-104°F (Tmax = 140°F).

Adsorption Effectiveness
The filter shows varying effectiveness for different substances, with very good effectiveness for toluene, acetic acid, isopropyl ether, sulphuric acid, citrus fruits, and perfumes, while poor effectiveness for hydrogen sulphide, freon, and ammonia.
