DONADON Y90 Rupture Disc

Product catalog summary
Specifications:
The Donadon SDD Y90 rupture discs are available in various materials including stainless steel, Alloy 201, Alloy 400, Alloy 600, Alloy C276, Titanium, and Tantalum. They come in dimensions ranging from DN 1” (25) to DN 8” (200) and can handle rupture pressures from 0.2 to 70 bar g, depending on the material and diameter. The tolerance levels range from +/- 5% to +/- 20%. These discs operate effectively in temperatures from -196°C to 480°C and have an operating margin of 90%, potentially reaching 95% under certain conditions.
Features:
The Y90 discs are designed with NS Nanoscored technology, featuring compression or reverse circumference micro-scored discs. They maintain their convex shape under operating pressure until the reverse pressure is reached, ensuring reliability over thousands of cycles. The discs rupture quickly along the scored line without fragmentation, providing full opening. They exhibit low sensitivity to temperature variations, making them ideal for applications with significant temperature changes.
Applications:
These rupture discs are suitable for use with gases and liquids, especially when a special gas cushion is present. They are effective in protecting pressure relief valves and are highly resistant to corrosion, with additional protection available through a PTFE lining. Vacuum support is not required.
Certifications:
The Y90 discs are certified with PED [CE STAMP] and ATEX EX II 2 GD certifications.
Additional Features:
The discs can be equipped with various rupture sensors, including electrical, magnetic, inductive, and optical types. They are compatible with containers HR/A, HR/P, HR/F, and HTC.

DONADON Y90 Rupture Disc-1

DONADON SDD Y90 rupture discs The Donadon SDD Y90 rupture discs obtained with NS Nanoscored technology are compression or reverse circumference micro-scored discs. The camber of the convex disc is not modified by the operating pressure except on reaching reverse pressure. This device works with ratios of up to 95% between operating and rupture pressure and withstands thousands of cycles without jeopardising its reliability. At the moment of reversion, the disc ruptures in a few thousandths of a second along the scored line without fragments and with full opening. Y90 discs have lower sensitivity to variations in temperature with respect to conventional discs and therefore are very useful in applications with large temperature variations. They are especially suitable for use with gas and liquids (with the presence of a special gas cushion) and for protecting pressure relief valves. The wide choice of materials and the thickness used make Y90 discs very resistant to corrosion. Greater protection can be obtained using a PTFE lining, which can be applied to the process side of the disc. Vacuum support is not required.
