DONADON SCR Rupture Disc

DONADON SCR Rupture Disc

Product catalog summary
Specifications:
The Donadon SDD SCR rupture discs are available in various materials including stainless steel, Alloy 201, Alloy 400, Alloy 600, Alloy C276, Titanium, and Tantalum. They come in dimensions ranging from DN 1” (25) to DN 36” (900). The rupture pressure varies from 0.41 bar g (6 psi g) to 137 bar g (2000 psi g), depending on the material and diameter. The Kr g value is 0.48, with a tolerance range from +/- 5% to +/- 20%. Operating temperatures range from -196°C to 480°C, with an operating margin of 90%, potentially reaching 95% under certain conditions.
Features:
The SCR rupture discs are designed to prevent fragmentation and can be used under valves. They offer very good corrosion resistance, which can be enhanced with PTFE lining. The discs are compatible with various rupture sensors including electrical, magnetic, inductive, and optical types. They are certified with ASME [UD STAMP], PED [CE STAMP], and ATEX EX II 2 GD certifications.
Technology:
The discs utilize NS Nanoscored technology, featuring micro-scored calibrated sections that open in petals with 4, 6, or more radial scoring. This design reduces the risk of petal detachment and allows for effective operation at both high and low bursting pressures. They are suitable for use with gases and liquids (with a special gas cushion) and perform well in cycling and pulsating conditions without compromising safety margins.
Applications:
SCR rupture discs are particularly suited for protecting pressure relief valves. They react to excessive pressure in milliseconds without fragmentation, maintaining a high safety standard. The discs can handle absolute vacuum conditions without additional supports.

DONADON SCR Rupture Disc-1

DONADON SDD SCR rupture discs DONADON SDD SCR Rupture discs obtained with NS Nanoscored technology are compression or reverse discs with micro-scored calibrated sections opening in petals, characterised by the presence of 4, 6 or more radial scoring. This allows for better opening reducing the risk of petal detachment. This makes Donadon SDD SCR rupture discs suitable both at high and at low bursting pressure and can be used only with gas and liquids (with the presence of a special gas cushion) also in cycling and pulsating conditions without reduction of safety margins. SCR discs react to excessive pressure in a few milliseconds without fragmentation. They are especially suited for protection of pressure relief valves. Donadon SDD SCR Nanoscored rupture discs allow for a ratio between operating and bursting pressure up to 95% and have a very good resistance to corrosion. Corrosion resistance may be additionally improved with PTFE lining. In addition, SCR discs can be subject to absolute vacuum conditions without need for supports.
