DONADON SCD Rupture Disc

DONADON SCD Rupture Disc

Product catalog summary
Specifications:
The Donadon SDD SCD rupture discs are available in various materials including stainless steel, Alloy 201, Alloy 400, Alloy 600, Alloy C276, Titanium, and Tantalum. They come in dimensions ranging from DN 1” (25) to DN 36” (900). The rupture pressure varies from 2 bar g (30 psi g) to 413 bar g (6000 psi g), depending on the material and diameter. The Kr gl value is 1.33, with a tolerance range from +/- 5% to +/- 20%. Operating temperatures range from -196°C to 480°C, with an operating margin of 85%.
Features:
The rupture discs are designed to operate without fragmentation and can be used under valves. They exhibit very good corrosion resistance, which can be enhanced with PTFE lining. The discs are equipped with various rupture sensors including electrical, magnetic, inductive, and optical types.
Certifications:
The product is certified with ASME [UD STAMP], PED [CE STAMP], and ATEX EX II 2 GD certifications.
Technology:
The discs utilize NS Nanoscored technology, featuring micro-scored calibrated sections that open in petals with 4, 6, or more radial scoring. This design reduces the risk of petal detachment, making them suitable for high bursting pressures and use in cycling and pulsating conditions without compromising safety margins.
Applications:
SCD discs are ideal for protecting pressure relief valves and can handle a ratio between operating and bursting pressure up to 85%. They are also capable of withstanding absolute vacuum conditions without additional supports.

DONADON SCD Rupture Disc-1

DONADON SDD SCD rupture discs DONADON SDD SCD Rupture discs obtained with NS Nanoscored technology are discs with micro-scored calibrated sections opening in petals, characterised by the presence of 4, 6 or more radial scoring. This allows for better opening reducing the risk of petal detachment. This makes Donadon SDD SCD rupture discs especially suitable at high bursting pressure. They are used with gas and liquids also in cycling and pulsating conditions without reduction of safety margins. SCD discs react to excessive pressure in a few milliseconds without fragmentation. They are especially suited for protection of pressure relief valves. Donadon SDD SCD rupture discs allow for a ratio between operating and bursting pressure up to 85% and have a very good resistance to corrosion. Corrosion resistance may be additionally improved with PTFE lining. In addition, SCD discs can, in many cases, be subject to absolute vacuum conditions without need for supports.
