Flyer safety relays OA-series

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document introduces the OA 5642, OA 5643, and OA 5644 safety relays by E. DOLD & SÖHNE KG, highlighting their compact design and high switching reliability. These relays are designed with positively guided contacts as per EN50205 standards and are among the flattest on the market at only 10.3 mm in height.

Specifications
The relays are available in 2-, 3-, and 4-pole configurations, making them suitable for compact safety switching devices. They feature low nominal power consumption (0.4 W, 0.5 W, and 0.65 W) and reduced holding power, making them energy-efficient. The relays are wash-tight (RT III) and can withstand temperatures up to 85°C, suitable for lead-free solder processes.

Design and Features
The relays offer protective separation between circuits for applications with pollution severity 2 and a design insulation voltage of 250 V. They have consistent connection pinning and are available in various contact combinations upon request. The relays are resistant to shock and vibration, lightweight, and have a wide temperature range.

Applications
Typical applications include railway technology, automation, medical devices, radio technology, telecontrol, firing technology, process technology, and elevators. The relays are available in various contact materials (AgSnO, AgNi, AgNi with 5 µm gold plating) and can switch currents from 1 mA to 8 A. They support coil voltages between 5 V and 110 V, allowing customization for specific applications.

Ordering Information
The document provides technical features for each relay model, including dimensions, nominal consumption, breaking current, contact configurations, and approvals (cURus, TÜV in preparation).

Conclusion
DOLD offers a wide variety of safety relays in different designs and contact versions, including custom designs, to meet specific safety-related application needs.

Flyer safety relays OA-series-1

Safety relays OA 5642 ... with positively guided contacts only 10.3 mm high In many safety-related applications where relays with positively guided contacts (as per EN50205) are used special attention is paid to a compact design, apart from the high switching reliability. With the new safety relays OA 5642, OA 5643 and OA 5644 DOLD provides an extremely flat relay range setting new standards. Only 10.3 mm in height, these 2-, 3- and 4-pole relays are among the flattest safety relays on the market. They are ideal for the realisation of compact safety switching devices (only 15 mm in width) and for applications where little space in height is available. Besides compactness, the design of the relays also allows an arrangement of SMD components between board and relay. For applications where the power consumption is critical, energy saving was particularly taken into account by nominal power values of only 0.4 W, 0.5 W and 0.65 W and a lowering of the holding power to about a third of the pickup power. The relay, which is wash-tight (RT III) and temperature-stable up to 85 °C in its standard version, can be especially well processed in leadfree solder processes. Your solutions Smallest height of 10.3 mm while requiring a minimum of area Low nominal and holding power Protective separation between all circuits for applications with pollution severity 2 and design insulation voltage of 250 V Relay range with consistent connection pinning Contact combinations for your specific application (on request) Wide temperature range High resistance to shock and vibration Wash-tight Low weight
