They use 1-1/2" (41mm) bi-metal or tungsten carbide saw blades to provide superior beam strength and larger tooth gullet capacity. This permits removal of up to 30% more material and extends tool life. C-4100 Series saws feature one-piece construction of the sawing and indexing sections. An underslung carriage on the indexing vise allows the workpiece to rest on roller conveyors instead of on the shuttle vise. Together, these features provide superior indexing accuracy throughout the life of the machine. C-4100 series saws also incorporate a standard split front fixed vise that holds the workpiece on both sides of the blade as it passes through the material. This reduces burrs and allows the shuttle vise to index the materials closer to the saw blade, producing minimum butt ends and allowing the saw to run longer in the automatic cycle mode.
