SELF-CLEANING SMOKE, DUST & FUME COLLECTOR Diversi-Tech’s FRED™ air cleaners are designed for installation in industrial applications for the removal of smoke, dust and other airborne contaminants. FRED™ will remove particulate as small as 0.5 micron with it’s standard filters and acts as a heat recovery device to drastically reduce heating costs by cleaning and recycling plant air. The FRED™ self-cleaning unit requires virtually no maintenance. The unit is portable and can capture contaminants at source. The unit’s arm is self-supporting and captures pollutants before they reach the worker’s breathing zone. How The FRED™ Self-Cleaning System Works The FRED™ self-cleaning dust collection system eliminates the need for costly maintenance and frequent filter changes. The patented ICS (Injection Cleaning System) releases shop air through a rotating jet that is driven up and down by a screw inside the filter cartridge. The cleaning system is automatically activated each time the unit is turned off. Compressed air is blown through the filter in the reverse direction thus dislodging dust from the filter.
