Overview of DIP Series Displays

Advantages in Mounting:
The DIP series offers compact and reliable displays that are quick and easy to mount. They support character displays ranging from 1x8 to 4x20 and graphic displays from 128x64 to 240x128 monochrome. The displays are compatible, have a short lead time, and are available long-term. They operate within a temperature range of -20 to +70°C.

Smart Mounting:
Assembly is simplified to two steps: place and solder, eliminating the need for cables, screws, or pin headers. This design reduces development and production time.

Display Design:
DIP modules maximize space efficiency, offering large, readable characters within compact dimensions. They eliminate unnecessary PCB borders and mounting holes.

Compatibility:
All DIP series modules include standard controllers. Character displays are compatible with HD44780, while graphic displays support AX6120, KS0107/0108, or T6963 controllers. Modules within the same series are interchangeable, allowing upgrades from character to graphic displays. Most modules feature LED backlights in various colors.

Power Consumption:
Without backlight, power consumption is typically 1mA@5V. With blue-white backlight, it ranges from 60 to 160mA. The use of NICHIA LED dies ensures long life and bright backlighting.

Optional Font Editor:
Graphic displays do not include character sets, but a FontEditor for Windows is available (EA USB-STICK-FONT) to create custom character sets, including Cyrillic, Greek, and Arabic. It supports export functions for C and Basic programming languages.
